Bethlehem, Pa. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's cross country placed 32nd at the Lehigh University (Pa.) Paul Short Run Saturday on the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course. The Eagles finished with 804 points while Utah Valley took the team title with 77. Wake Forest University (N.C.) was second with 129. A total of 44 teams competed, including several National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I schools.
Maddie Hannan was UWL's top finisher, placing 106th overall with a time of 21:48.2 on the 6,000-meter course. The Eagles'
Katelyn Chadwick placed 124th (21:57.1) with
Maddy Vantassel 146th (22:08.1).
UWL's
Gwen Hinz finished 239th (22:48.5),
Madelynn McIntyre 246th (22:54.4),
Kylie Trousil 258th (22:58.9),
Sierra Rabe 293rd (23:17.2) and
Mallory Reiser 303rd (23:22.8).
Judy Kosgei from the University of South Carolina won the individual title (19:54.9). A total of 393 runners completed the race.
UWL returns to action Saturday, October 14 hosting the Tori Neubauer Invitational at Maple Grove Venues, LLC in West Salem at 12 p.m.
