Decorah, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's cross country team captured a dual victory at Luther College (Iowa) Friday night. The Eagles finished with 15 team points while the Norse totaled 46.
UWL took the top-five places on Friday wiht
Brooklyn Luebke capturing the individual crown with a time of 19:42.0 on the 5,000-meter course. The Eagles'
Andrea Butz was second (19:54.3),
Ella Pahl third (19:55.1),
Jocelyn Aprill fourth (19:57.0) and
Jessica Immer fifth (20:04.2).
Jessica Wilson placed eighth (20:25.4) and
Grace Bisswurm ninth (20:30.7).
UWL had five other runners place in the top-15.
Eileen Zopel finished 11th (20:35.6),
Elena Kozich 12th (20:36.4),
Molly Novotny 13th (20:39.2),
Emma Windingland 14th (20:43.2) and
Ella Woodworth 15th (20:46.5).
Elizabeth Schwartz was 16th (20:47.6),
Kiara Gentz 18th (20:58.2),
Mackenzie Ginder 23rd (21:33.9),
Brooklyn Radtke 25th (22:00.3) and
Anna Meilahn 28th (23:14.0).
A total of 28 runners completed the race.
UWL returns to action Saturday, October 28 at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships at Prescott (Wis.) High School starting at 1 p.m.
