Box Score Eau Claire, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse lacrosse team ended their season with a 14-5 victory at UW-Eau Claire on Saturday afternoon at Simpson Field. UWL finishes their season 5-6 in its second season as a varsity sport. UW-Eau Claire drops to 4-3 on the season.

Abigail Steigauf would score unassisted less than a minute into the game (29:06).
Valerie Johnson would find an open
Britta Nelson in the middle of the eight for a man-down goal to give the Eagles' a 2-0 lead at 26:38. Johnson would score her first of the day, seconds later unassisted at 26:07. UWL's
Anna Davis would continue the scoring run as she earned a goal on a fast break down the middle (22:32). Steigauf would net her second (18:48) and
Lauren Schwartz would score back-to-back goals to give UWL a 7-0 lead at 14:56.
The Blugolds would finally get on the board at 12:31 when Stephanie Martin would score an unassisted goal but
Grace Willmott would answer back for UWL scoring her first of the game (9:42). UW-Eau Claire would score again at 5:34 when Tomoe Hashiguchi found the back of the net off a Chloe Sundeen assist.
Bella Post would assist Johnson for her second goal of the game (2:44) and Steigauf would find Willmott open to notch her second goal (2:23) to give the the Eagles a 10-2 heading into halftime.
UWL would outshoot the Blugolds 18-6 in the first half.
UWL would score the first four goals of the second half with Schwartz (28:17), Johnson (21:59),
Samantha Sonstegard (13:39) and Willmott (11:48) all scoring to make it a 14-2 game. The Blugolds would score

two goals in a row to stop the Eagles' run but Johnson would get her fourth of the day on a free-position shot (00:37) to end the game.
UWL finished the day with 31 shots, 24 on goal while collecting seven ground balls. Johnson led the Eagles with four goals and one assist for a team high five points. Schwartz and Willmott both collected three goals and one assist, Schwartz had a game high seven draw controls while Steigauf had two goals on the day collecting three draw controls. Nelson also added six draw controls and two ground balls.
Abi Furlano would earn the win in goal making eight saves while
Ellen Coggio would make two saves in the game.
UW-River Falls finished with 17 shots, 12 on goal while collecting nine ground balls. Bryanna Brost would take the loss in net making nine saves.
