Menomonie, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team earned a 93-42 dual victory at UW-Stout Saturday. The Eagles won 12 events, including 11 individual titles.
On the track,
Savannah Rygiewicz took the 60-meter dash (7.87) while
Emma Lawrence won the 60-meter hurdles (8.92).
Emily Dawidowich the 200-meter run (25.65),
Katie Banie the 400-meter run (59.28) and
Greta Koehler the 800-meter run (2:27.82). UWL's
Emma Malooly placed first in the mile run (5:05.32).
Five athletes won field events for the Eagles, including
Olivia Owens in the high jump (5-1),
Nicole Lord in the long jump (17-2),
Sydney Wambach the triple jump (36-2 3/4),
Abby Meidl the pole vault (11-6 1/2) and
Pamela Gramer the weight throw (55-5).
UWL's Lawrence,
Liz Knoernschild,
Amber Johnson and Banie won the 4x400-meter relay (4:02.16).
Other top finishers on the track included
Kelly Aldrich placing second (7.95) and
Jessica Stelzner third (8.02) in the 60-meter dash while
Hannah Zenkovich was second (8.96) and
Clair Shepardson fourth (9.22) in the 60-meter hurdles.
Aly Reuvers finished second (26.18) in the 200-meter dash while Aldrich was third (26.36) and Rygiewicz fourth (26.54). Johnson placed second (59.55) in the 400-meter dash with
Mara Schroeder third (1:01.03).
Lauran Zwack took fourth (2:35.69) in the 800-meter run while the Eagles'
Maddie Hannan was second (5:07.38) and
Kim Carviou third (5:27.74) in the mile.
In Saturday's field events,
Maddie Hansen took third (4-9) in the high jump while
Kemmesha Thomas finished third (34-11 1/4) in the triple jump. Wambach placed second (17-1 1/2), Stelzner third (16-10 3/4) and Hansen fourth (16-10) in the long jump.
The Eagles'
Skye Digman placed second (54-9 1/4) in the weight throw and shot put (44-0 1/2).
Ashley O'Connell finished second (11-0 3/4) and
Lindsay Ruff third (10-6 3/4) in the pole vault.
