Lake Geneva, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's tennis team improved to 3-3 on the season with a 5-4 victory over North Central College (Ill.) Sunday afternoon at the Lake Geneva Tennis Club. The Cardinals drop to 2-3 on the season. 

North Central (Ill.) took two of the three doubles matches Sunday as Colten Way/Andy Hinch defeated Alex Alt/Riley Peterson at No. 1 doubles (8-4) and Guillermo Gonzalez/Javier Suarez earned the win at No. 2 doubles (8-6) over Grant Counts/Alex Moore. 

UWL earned the win at No. 3 doubles (8-1) as Tony Moore/Charlie Parish defeated Justin Howes/Triston Robb. 

The Eagles captured four of the six singles matches to earn the dual victory. Alt defeated Gonzalez at No. 1 singles (6-1, 0-6, 10-5); Alex Moore defeated Hinch at No. 4 singles (4-6, 6-4, 10-7); Tony Moore beat Steven Mears at No. 5 singles (6-1, 6-1) and Sam Diedrich defeated Jeremiah Joyce at No. 6 singles (6-3, 6-1). 

The Cardinals' Suarez defeated Peterson at No. 2 singles (6-2, 6-3) while Way defeated Counts at No. 3 singles (7-5, 6-0). 

UWL returns to action Saturday, February 22 with a pair of matches in Dubuque, Iowa. The Eagles face the University of Dubuque (Iowa) at noon and Lawrence University (Wis.) at 3 p.m.
