Karen Middleton has led UWL to three straight WIAC semifinal appearances.

The 2019-20 schedule features the Eagles playing in the Wartburg (Iowa) Holiday Tournament with UWL playing Washington University in St. Louis (Mo.) on Monday, December 29. The Eagles will then face host Wartburg (Iowa) or Baldwin-Wallace University (Ohio) on Tuesday, December 30.  Washington (Mo.) was ranked 10th in the final 2018-19 D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll and advanced to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Sectional final.

"We are very excited about the challenges of our schedule this year," said UWL head coach Karen Middleton.  "We have made consistent improvements each year, and I know we have more steps to take.

"During our non-conference schedule, we have an opportunity to play seven games against teams that played deep into the NCAA tournament last year.  Our non-conference schedule will, without a doubt, test us and provide a gauge of where we are and what our focus needs to be as we go into the trials of the WIAC.  The WIAC continues to prove why we are the toughest Division III conference in the country with so many great programs and coaches."

UWL opens Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) play hosting UW-Oshkosh on Saturday, January 4. The Titans finished 13th in the final 2018-19 D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll while advancing to the third round of the NCAA Division III Championship.

Karen Middleton starts her fourth season as UWL's head coach in 2019-20.  She has led the Eagles to a 54-26 (.675) overall and 28-14 (.667) WIAC record in her first three years.

UWL finished 22-5 overall and 10-4 in the WIAC in 2018-19, recording its most overall wins since going 22-7 in 1987-88.  The Eagles' 10 league wins were the most since finishing 12-4 in 2010-11.  UWL advanced to the 2019 WIAC Championships Semifinals for the third straight year under Middleton and fifth time overall as the team tied for second overall in the league standings.

The Eagles were 10-2 at home in 2018-19 while setting a school record in three-point field goals made (195) and attempted (579).
