La Crosse, Wis. - University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball senior

Dover, Minn. (Dover-Eyota) was named to the 2025-26 D3hoops.com All-Region 9 Third team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
This is the first time that Nelson has been named by D3hoops.com an All-Region 9 recipient.

- Earlier this season, Nelson was selected a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) First Team All-Conference honoree.
- Nelson finished second on a very balanced offensive Eagles team as she averaged 10.2 points per game (ppg).
- Nelson was also second on the team and eighth in the WIAC in rebounding with 5.7 rebounds per game (rpg).
- She led the led team and was fourth in the WIAC in assists per game averaging 2.7.
- In the final regular season game, Nelson had one of her best games this season as she finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds to help UWL defeat UW-Eau Claire in overtime.
- Nelson helped lead the Eagles to a second place regular season finish in the WIAC along with a WIAC Tournament Championship. Nelson and the Eagles then went on a deep postseason run as they advanced to the National Collegiate Athletic Association III Elite Eight where they fell to top seeded New York University (72-47). Along the way, Nelson and the Eagles defeated LaGrange College (Ga.) 78-52, Carroll University (Wis.) 80-60 and University of Southern Maine 66-45.
