Rochester, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team finished fifth after the third and final day of competition Sunday night at the Rochester (Minn.) Invitational being held at the Rochester Recreation Center. The Eagles recorded 836.0 team points. Minnesota State-Mankato won the team title with 1,888.0 points while St.Cloud State University (Minn.) was second with 1,773.0. A total of fifteen teams competed.

In this weekends action, the Eagles five relay teams placed in the top 12. UWL finished fifth (1:38.54) in the 200 freestyle relay. While finishing sixth (3:35.67) in the 400 freestyle relay. Both medley relays placed ninth. In the 200 medley the Eagles finished with a time of 1:48.73. In the 400 medley finishing with a time of 3:58.91. UWL also finished 11th in the 800 freestyle relay (7:58.95).
Sydney Vian placed sixth (357.15) in the three-meter dive while Lizzie Konkel finished right behind in seventh place (354.30).
UWL's Ellie Szczupakiewicz finished in the top-15 in three events. Her best event of the weekend was the 200 backstroke where she placed fourth (2:08.75). Szczupakiewicz also finished 13th (2:15.14) in the 200 butterfly and sixth (58.12) in the 100 butterfly.
Mikala Leppla would finish seventh (24.34) in the 50 freestyle. Kaylie Svacina would finish ninth (2:28.41) for the Eagles in the 200 breaststroke while Maria Vaudreuil would place tenth (2:29.49). Vaudreuil finished ninth (1:06.90) in the 100 breaststroke while Svacina finished 12th (1:07.98).
