Indianapolis, Ind. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's 200 freestyle relay placed 18th in the preliminaries at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Swimming & Diving Championships Thursday at the IU Natatorium.

Indiana University Indianapolis is serving as host of the championships. 

The Eagles' Ellie Brown, Zoey Rank, Ava Pulvermacher and Greta Wiskus finished with a time of 1:34.16 to place 18th.

The top-16 teams advance to the finals and consolation finals. 

UWL returns to action with the 200 medley relay on Friday, March 20 and the 400 freestyle relay is set for Saturday, March 21.

Shefali Ramakrishnan, Rank, Pulvermacher and Wiskus were 21st (3:53.54) in Wednesday's 400 medley relay. 

The Eagles won three relays at the 2026 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships. Brown, Pulvermacher, Wiskus and Libby Cleveland took the 200 freestyle relay (1:33.93) while Pulvermacher, Rank, Wiskus and Cleveland captured the 400 freestyle relay (3:29.17).

Ramakrishnan, Rank, Wiskus and Cleveland won the 200 medley relay (1:43.17). UWL placed second in the 400 medley relay at the league championships with Cleveland, Rank, Pulvermacher and Wiskus (3:52.20).

Rank is making her second trip to the NCAA Division III Championships. She competed in individually in the 200 I.M. last season, placing 46th (2:09.27) in the preliminaries. Rank was also on UWL's 200, 400 and 800 freestyle relays and 200 and 400 medley relays.

Brown, Ramakrishnan, Pulvermacher and Wiskus are making their first appearance at the national championships.

UWL, led by head coach Steve Mohs, captured its 23rd WIAC Championship in school history this year. It was the fourth (2020, 2022, 2025, 2026) title under Mohs. Jack Englehardt serves as UWL's assistant coach.

The top-eight finishers in each event earn NCAA III All-America honors while ninth through 16th-place earn NCAA III Honorable Mention accolades.
