La Crosse, Wis. – Five members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team is set to compete at the 2026 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Swimming & Diving Championships Wednesday-Saturday, March 18-21. The meet will be held at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Indiana University Indianapolis will serve as host of the championships.
Action is scheduled to begin each day at 9 a.m. (Central) with preliminary events. The finals are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. (Central).
Sophomores
Ellie Brown of
Litchfield, Minn. (H.S.),
Ava Pulvermacher of
Madison (West),
Shefali Ramakrishnan of
La Crosse (Logan) and
Zoey Rank of
Fort Atkinson (Jefferson) along with freshman
Greta Wiskus of
Roseville, Minn. (H.S.) are set to compete.
UWL is entered in four relays, including the 200 and 400 freestyle and 200 and 400 medley.
The 400 medley relay is set for Wednesday, March 18 with the 200 freestyle relay Thursday, March 19. The Eagles will swim in the 200 medley relay on Friday, March 20 and the 400 freestyle relay is set for Saturday, March 21.
The Eagles won three relays at the 2026 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships. Brown, Pulvermacher, Wiskus and
Libby Cleveland took the 200 freestyle relay (1:33.93) while Pulvermacher, Rank, Wiskus and Cleveland captured the 400 freestyle relay (3:29.17).
Ramakrishnan, Rank, Wiskus and Cleveland won the 200 medley relay (1:43.17). UWL placed second in the 400 medley relay at the league championships with Cleveland, Rank, Pulvermacher and Wiskus (3:52.20).
Rank is making her second trip to the NCAA Division III Championships. She competed in individually in the 200 I.M. last season, placing 46th (2:09.27) in the preliminaries. Rank was also on UWL's 200, 400 and 800 freestyle relays and 200 and 400 medley relays.
Brown, Ramakrishnan, Pulvermacher and Wiskus are making their first appearance at the national championships.
UWL, led by head coach
Steve Mohs, captured its 23rd WIAC Championship in school history this year. It was the fourth (2020, 2022, 2025, 2026) title under Mohs.
Jack Englehardt serves as UWL's assistant coach.
The top-eight finishers in each event earn NCAA III All-America honors while ninth through 16th-place earn NCAA III Honorable Mention accolades.
