Stevens Point, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team placed seventh at the UW-Stevens Point Mad Dawg Invitational Sunday afternoon at The Stevens Point Country Club. The Eagles finished with a two-day total of 743 (372-371).
UW-Oshkosh took the eight-team tournament title with a score of 646 (327-319) while UW-Stout was second at 654 (329-325) and UW-River Falls third at 695 (351-344).

Hannah Ottevaere was the team's top finisher, tying for 28th overall with a two-day score of 184 (91-93).
Chloe Volden tied for 35th for UWL at 186 (90-96) while
Sarah Faanes was 37th at 187 (97-90).
Leah Sindberg placed 39th overall at 189 (95-94) with
Natali Fellows tied for 40th at 190 (96-94) and
Haley Dunn tied for 56th at 203 (98-105).
UW-Oshkosh's Hannah Braun took individual medalist honors with a score of 157 (80-77). A total of 63 golfers completed the two rounds.
UWL returns to action Friday, October 5 at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships. The three-day tournament continues Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7 at the Reedsburg (Wis.) Country Club.
