Final Results

Reedsburg, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team finished seventh after the third and final round of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship (Presented by Culver's) Sunday afternoon at The Reedsburg Country Club.  The Eagles finished with a team score of 1,081, including a round of 358 in Sunday's third round. UWL shot 366 in Friday's first round and 357 in Saturday's second round.

UWL's second round of 357 on Saturday tied the season-low set at the Saint Mary's University (Minn.) Invitational on September 16.  The Eagles' third round score of 358 on Sunday is the third-lowest of the fall season.

UW-Whitewater captured the conference championship at 942 (315-312-315) with UW-Stout second at 954 (314-315-325) and UW-Oshkosh third at 960 (321-321-381).

UW-River Falls placed fourth with an overall score of 1,003 (336-321-346) with UW-Eau Claire fifth at 1,019 (341-337-341) and UW-Stevens Point sixth at 1,069 (349-357-363).  UW-Platteville finished eighth at 1,086 (366-359-361).

UWL's Chloe Volden tied for 32nd overall Sunday with a total score of 265 (91-86-88).  The Eagles' Hannah Ottevaere was 40th at 271 (90-94-87) while Sarah Faanes finished 41st at 272 (90-92-90). 

Leah Sindberg placed 45th overall with a three-round score of 278 (95-90-93), Natali Fellows finished 46th at 280 (98-89-93), Leah Kroening tied for 50th at 285 (99-93-93) and Maggie Lang finished 55th at 289 (95-97-97).

Hannah Braun of UW-Oshkosh captured the individual league title Sunday with a three-round score of 228 (77-77-74). A total of 60 runners completed all three rounds.

UWL is scheduled to play in three invitational in spring 2019. The Eagles play at the Clarke University (Iowa) Invitational April 13-14, the UW-Stout Invitational April 20 and UW-River Falls Invitational April 27.
