La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's tennis team improved to 15-5 on the season with a 9-0 victory over Milwaukee School of Engineering (Wis.) Tuesday afternoon in the Mitchell Hall Field House. The Eagles have won 11 of their last 12 matches overall. MSOE fell to 1-9 on the season.
UW-L did not lose a set in the sweeping the singles Tuesday.
Kevin McMillen, ranked 22nd in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Region, earned the win at No. 1 singles (6-2, 6-1) over Eric Klamrowski. The Eagles'
Vic Mirasola defeated Zachary Dam at No. 2 (6-2, 6-2) and
Tony Mirasola earned the win over Matthew Slaughter at No. 3 (6-0, 6-2).
Nick Skanavis beat Jeff Scarpelli at No. 4 singles (6-0, 6-0);
Travis Murphy defeated Andrew Kosasih at No. 5 (6-2, 6-2) and
Joshua Gaspard beat Tyler Hannen at No. 6 (6-0, 6-0).
