New Orleans, La. - University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Men's Track & Field head coach
Josh Buchholtz has been named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Head Coach of the Year, the organization announced Tuesday.

- Buchholtz has been named the USTFCCCA National Outdoor Coach of the Year seven times (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2024, 2025, 2026) and National Indoor Coach of the Year six times (2013, 2014, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026).
- Buchholtz and the Eagles coaching staff led the team to a NCAA Division III record 18th Outdoor National Championship. It is the Eagles third consecutive National Championship and their seventh outdoor title under Buchholtz's direction.
- UWL finished with two individual national champions along with 17 individuals and both the 4x100 relay and 4x400 relays earning NCAA III All-America honors.
- Buchholtz has now led UWL to 14 NCAA Division III titles, including seven indoor (2009, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2023, 2024, 2025) and seven outdoor (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2024, 2025, 2026).
- At this year's outdoor championships, the Eagles scored 106 points breaking the National Championship meet record of 101 points which was set by the Eagles in 2004. UW-La Crosse scored points in 15 different events, including scoring 24 points in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
- Under the coaching of Buchholtz and his staff, the Eagles won their 33rd Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) outdoor title in the last 34 seasons. The UWL coaching staff was honored as the WIAC Coaching Staff of the Year.
