Nick Anagnostis is in his second season as head lacrosse coach in 2025-26. UWL finished 10-7 overall and 6-3 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) in 2025 under Anagnostis, finishing tied for fourth in the league standings while advancing to the conference tournament. The 10 overall victories are the third-most in school history.
Five players earned All-WIAC honors in 2025, including Megan Maloney and Ava Schiltz being named to the all-conference first team. Kaley Hendrick and Gretchen McCann earned second team accolades while Megan Feeney was an honorable mention selection. Hendrick was also selected the 2025 WIAC Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete.
Anagnostis arrived at UWL after serving as a volunteer assistant women's lacrosse coach at Winthrop University (S.C.) in 2024. He was the goalkeeper coach and defensive assistant.
Prior coaching experience includes serving as men's lacrosse head coach at Wheeling University (W.V.) from 2019-22 and men's lacrosse club head coach at the University of Missouri from 2016-19.
He was named as the 2019 Upper Midwest Lacrosse Conference (UMLC) Coach of the Year while at Missouri. Anagnostis' Tiger teams produced 25 all-conference selections, one Offensive Player of the Year, one Defensive Player of the Year, three All-Americans and five Academic All-Americans.
The Miami, Florida native also has an extensive international coaching background. Anagnostis was the head coach of Team Greece during the 2019 Heritage Cup and led the team to a perfect 5-0 mark and a championship crown.
He also was an assistant coach for Greece's Men's National Team during the 2018 FIL Men's World Lacrosse Championships in Netanya, Israel where the team achieved a top-20 ranking in the world. Anagnostis was the offensive coordinator for the Greece Men's National Box team at the 2024 World Box Lacrosse Championships in Utica, New York. He also served as the head coach for the Greece Men's 6's Team at the 2024 Euro Lax 6s Cup in Thessaloniki, Greece, and will be an assistant coach for the Men's Field Team in the 2025 European Lacrosse Championships in Szombathely, Hungary.
Prior to his time at Missouri, Anagnostis spent six years coaching in the high school ranks. He was an assistant coach at Myers Park High School in Charlotte, North Carolina.
He was the runner-up for assistant coach of the year in 2010 in northern Florida after helping coach Lincoln High School to a district championship and state quarterfinal appearance.
Anagnostis also has experience coaching at the post-collegiate level, coaching a men's team in Tallahassee, Florida for six years. He has also coached youth programs.
After transferring from Florida State University after three years, Anagnostis earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte in 2016.
