NCAA III Results
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team continues to lead after the second day of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships Friday at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. The Eagles have 20.0 team points.
Central College (Iowa), Centre College (Ky.) and Whitworth University (Wash.) are tied for second with 18.0 points. UW-Eau Claire, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Ohio Northern University are tied for second with 11.0. The University of Dubuque (Iowa) is in eighth-place with 10.5. Augustana College (Ill.), Calvin College (Mich.) and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (Calif.) are tied for ninth with 10.0.
Becca Immer placed 11th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
A total of 47 teams have scored points.
The top-eight finishers in each event earn NCAA Division III All-America honors while finishers ninth through 16th earn Second Team accolades.Â
Julia Zalewski and
Becca Immer each earned NCAA III All-America honors in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Friday with Zalewski placing eighth (10:34.15) and Immer 11th (10:45.04). Immer earned Second Team honors. It is the first career All-America award for Zalewski and second for Immer who placed 15th last season.

Madeline Thoreson finished 12th in the heptathlon.
UWL's
Madeline Thoreson earned NCAA Division III Second Team All-America in the heptathlon, finishing 12th with 4,738 points. It is her first career All-America honor. The Eagles'
Amber Grosse did not finish the four events on Thursday.
The heptathlon included the long jump, javelin throw and 800-meter run on Friday after competing in the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200-meter dash on Thursday.
In preliminary action on the track on Friday, the Eagles' 4x100-meter relay of

Anika Reiland,
Makenna Zak and
Anna Plautz advanced to Saturday's final with the top qualifying time of 45.45. UWL sets a Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex record, surpassing the previous record time of 45.54 set by South Dakota State University earlier this season.

UWL will seek its third consecutive national title in the 4x100-meter relay on Saturday. Yang, Reiland and Zak were members of the winning relay last season while Reiland and Zak were also on the first-place relay in 2024.
Plautz advanced in the 400-meter dash with the third-fastest qualifying time (54.71) on Friday.
McKenna Sedlacek failed to advance in the 100-meter dash (12.10) while
Regan Scott did not advance in the 100-meter hurdles (14.68).
