Twenty-Eight Qualify for Women's Track & Field Team for NCAA III Championships; Action Starts Thursday in La Crosse

Twenty-eight members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team have qualified for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships, the national office announced Friday.

UWL is set to host the NCAA III Championships May 21-23 at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. Action starts at 11 a.m. on May 21.

It marks the fifth time UWL has hosted the NCAA III Outdoor Championships (1986, 1997, 2013, 2018, 2026).

UWL has four entries in the triple jump and long jump, including Maya Evans in both events. Samantha Barrett, Emily Blaskowski and Mackenzey Kronberg join Evans in the triple jump while Josie Blum, Jenna Miller and Regan Scott compete in the long jump.Logo

Araceli De Leo Lopez, Madison Habberstad and Nora Waddell are entered in the pole vault with Ella Puls and Jadyn Roden in the hammer throw.

The Eagles' Amber Grosse and Madeline Thoreson have qualified in the heptathlon.

On the track, Scott is also in the 100-meter hurdles while Andie Otto has met the qualifying time in the 400-meter hurdles.

McKenna Sedlacek is entered in the 100-meter dash and Anna Plautz in the 400-meter dash.

Plautz, Annika Reiland, Julie Yang and Makenna Zak are in the 4x100-meter relay with Zoe Lain, Otto, Macy Reybrock and Jocelyn Thomson in the 4x400-meter relay. Grace Kern and Plautz are alternates in the 4x400-meter relay.

Three runners, Annika Elliott, Brooklyn Luebke and Molly Novotny have qualified in the 1,500-meter run. Novotny is also entered in the 5,000-meter run.

Becca Immer and Julia Zalewski are entered in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

UWL placed third at the 2025 NCAA Division III Championships. The Eagles recorded their 15th top-three finish in school history. UWL has won four (1983, 1984, 2015, 2023) NCAA Division III titles while finishing runner-up six (1986, 1993, 1997, 2021, 2022, 2024) seasons. The Eagles have earned 33 top-10 finishes at the NCAA III Championships in 43 all-time appearances. UWL has 20 top-four showings.
