Lindsay Steien of
Taylor (Blair-Taylor) has been named to the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Region VIII Third Team, the organization announced Friday.
It is the first career NFCA All-Region selection for Steien.
Lindsay Steien started all 40 games, finishing with a .372 average.
UWL's leader with a .372 batting average this season, Steien started all 40 games. She also led the team in runs (32), hits (45), stolen bases (21), slugging percentage (.537), total bases (65) and sacrifice bunts (6). Steien was second for the Eagles in doubles (9), RBI (23) and sacrifice flies (2) while ranking third in at-bats (121), walks (11) and hit-by-pitches (2).
Recording a hit in 27 contests, Steien led UWL with 14 multiple-hit games. She went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBI versus the University of Northwestern (Minn.) on February 28 and 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs against Clarkson University (N.Y.) on March 15. Steien finished 3-for-4 with a double and three runs versus Farmingdale State College (N.Y.) on March 18 and 3-for-3 with an RBI and three runs versus McDaniel College (Md.) on March 19.
She had five multiple-RBI games, ranking third for UWL. Steien finished with a season-high two RBI in five games.
Steien is second in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) in stolen bases and sixth in runs and sacrifice bunts.
UWL finished 23-17 overall and 7-7 in the WIAC under third-year head coach Samantha Korn.
