La Crosse, Wis. – Former University of Wisconsin-La Crosse offensive lineman Dain Walter of New Glarus (H.S.) has been invited to the Green Bay Packers Rookie Mini-Camp. The camp is scheduled for Friday-Sunday, May 1-3.

Walter was named to four National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III All-America honors after the 2025 season, earning D3football.com and American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-America First Team accolades, Associated Press (AP) All-America Second Team recognition and to the Walter Camp All-America Team.
Dain Walter started all 11 games
at left tackle in 2025.

Voted to the 2025 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) First Team, Walter also earned D3football.com All-Region 6 First Team accolades.

Walter started all 11 games at left tackle while not allowing a quarterback sack. He helped UWL average 29.5 points per game in 2025. The Eagles averaged 386.1 yards per game, including 136.5 rushing and 249.6 passing.

"Dain developed himself into a tremendous offensive lineman," said UWL Offensive Line Coach Andrew McGlenn. "His athleticism and length allow him to do special things on the field. I hope these rookie mini camps can answer the questions on how his skill set can translate to professional football."

The Eagles finished second in the WIAC in fourth-down conversions (60.0%), third in total offense (386.1), passing yards (249.6), first downs (230), third-down conversions (46.7%) and time of possession (31:38) while ranking fourth in scoring (29.5).

UWL finished 8-3 overall and 5-2 in the WIAC in 2025. The Eagles, making their fifth consecutive national championship berth, advanced to the NCAA Division III Third Round. After receiving a first round bye, UWL earned a 9-7 victory at 15th-ranked Hope College (Mich.) on November 29 before falling, 35-27, at top-ranked North Central College (Ill.) in the third round on December 6.

UWL was ranked 13th on the final D3football.com Top 25 Poll and 16th on the final AFCA Top 25 Poll of the regular season.
