Waverly, Iowa - Members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team competed at the Wartburg College (Iowa) Qualifier Friday in Hoover Fieldhouse.
UWL's distance medley relay of
Becca Immer,
Macy Reybrock,
Kalli Vannieuwenhoven and
Molly Novotny placed second on Friday with a school record time of 11:39.47. The relay broke the record of 11:44.36 set by Maddie Hannan, Mara Schroeder, Katie Banie and Emma Malooly in 2022.
The Eagles'
Madeline Thoreson placed fifth in the pentathlon Friday with 3,380 points while
Audrey Braun was seventh with 3,250.
The pentathlon includes the 60-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800-meter run.
UWL returns to action Saturday, March 7 hosting the UWL Final Qualifier at 12 p.m.
