Birmingam, Ala. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track and field team finished second at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Indoor Championship Saturday at Birmingham Crossplex , Birmingham, Ala.
2026 NCAA III INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP BASICS
- Team Results - UW-La Crosse won two individual titles and a relay title on Saturday to help the Eagles compile 74 points. Rowan University (N.J.) won the team title with 75 points. Rounding out the top five after UWL was UW-Oshkosh in third (64 points), UW-Eau Claire in fourth (32 points) and Lynchburg University (Va.) (30 points).

- UWL at NCAA III Championships - UWL has won an NCAA Division III record 21 indoor titles, including the 2023 and 2024 Championship. UWL has now finished in the top-five in 38 of a possible 39 indoor national championships. UWL earned 10 individual NCAA III All-America honors along with the 4x400 relay team and Distance Medley Relay team at the 2026 Championships and now have 444 indoor NCAA III All-America honors, the most in the nation.

Field Events
- Triple Jump - Carter Pearson wins his first NCAA III National Title in the triple jump with a mark of 49-3. Pearson becomes the first Eagle to win a triple jump national title since Issac Vazquez won the title in 2013.
- Shot Put - Ben Youngworth finished 14th in the shot put with a mark of 53-1 1/2.
- High Jump - With a jump of 6-6, Mitchell Eldredge finishes 14th in the high jump.
- Heptathlon - Nolan Seaberg and Bryant Yanke both represented UWL in the heptathlon at the Championships. Seaberg would finish ninth overall with a point total of 5012 while Yanke recorded 3168 points to finish 20th.

- 60-meter hurdles - Luke Schroeder picks up an NCAA III All-America honor as he finishes fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.97.
- 200-meter - Schroeder earned his second NCAA III All-America honor of the day as he finished eighth in the 200-meter run with a time of 21.46.
- 400-meter - Collin Conzemius won his first NCAA III Championship in the 400-meter run with a time of 46.76. It is Conzemius' second consecutive NCAA All-America honor. Conzemius is the first Eagle to win an NCAA III National Title in the 400-meter run since Ross Denman did so in 2015.
- 800-meter - Cael Schoemann picks up his third consecutive NCAA III Indoor All-America honor in the 800-meter as he finished second individually. Schoemann finished the race with a time of 1:49.29.
- Mile - With a time of 4:14.51, Jayden Zywicki finishes third overall in the mile to win his first NCAA III Indoor All-America honor.
- 3000-meter - Owen Clark (8:06.97) and Aidan Matthai (8:12.10) earn NCAA III All-America honors as they finish third and eighth, respectively for the Eagles. Placing ninth for the Eagles was Charles Vater (8:14.89) while Joey Sullivan was 13th (8:21.87) and Zywicki 17th (8:29.66).
- 4x400-meter Relay - The 4x400 relay team of Conzemius, Chase Doornink, Devin Williams and Andrew Hackbarth break an NCAA III Indoor Championship and school record to win a National Title. The Eagles time of 3:10.90 breaks the school record set Derek Toshner, Kris Smith, Charlie Wittleder and Andrew Rock in 2003.
