La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team hosted the
Barry Schockmel Diving Classic Saturday in the
Richard Pein Natatorium in Mitchell Hall. No team scores were recorded.
UWL's
Hannah Martini swept the one (437.75 points) and three-meter (455.95) competition on Saturday.
The Eagles'
Madison DeBernardo was second in the one-meter (430.75) and fourth in the three-meter (398.90) while
Natalie Peterson finished third in the one-meter (418.70) and fifth in the three-meter (389.70).Â

Other top-six finishers included
Eden Mortensen second in the three-meter (402.90) and fifth in the one-meter (406.90) while Abby Thornton was third in the three-meter (402.65) and fourth in the one-meter (413.25).
Amelia Nelson placed sixth in the three-meter (379.25) and 10th in the one-meter (357.55) with
Ellie Kessler sixth in the one-meter (371.15) and ninth in the three-meter (339.50).
Aylin Hawkins finished seventh in the one-meter (369.85) and 10th in the three-meter (325.60) while
Shannon Penney was seventh in the three-meter (372.55) and eighth in the one-meter (363.25).
Iona Snyder finished 11th in the one-meter (168.20).
Schockmel completed his 49th season as UWL's Diving Coach in 2018-19. He is credited with guiding the development of UWL's divers.Â
Jane Marien was a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) champion in 1989 under Schockmel's tutelage.
Amanda Medendorp earned seven National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) III All-America honors while
Rachel LaValley and
Kayley Alioto each earned four All-America awards under Schockmel.Â
Justin Bublitz earned six career NCAA Division III All-America diving honors under Schockmel, the most for a UWL diver in school history. Â
UWL earned the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Diver of the Meet in 11 times and Men's Diver of the Meet three seasons under Schockmel.
UWL returns to action Wednesday, February 18 at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships in Brown Deer, Wisconsin.
