WIAC Championships Results
Brown Deer, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team leads after the second day of competition at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships (presented by Culver's) Thursday night at the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center.
UWL leads with 376.0 team points while UW-Eau Claire is second with 302.5. UW-Oshkosh is third with 162.0, UW-Stevens Point fourth with 159.5 and UW-Whitewater fifth with.112.0.
UWL won three individual titles on Thursday, including
Zoey Rank in the 200 I.M. (2:06.51),
Greta Wiskus in the 50 freestyle (23.65) and
Hannah Martini in the one-meter diving (430.60 points).

It marks the second straight championship in the 200 I.M. for Rank while Wiskus is the first UWL swimmer to capture the 50 freestyle since Mikayla Beuch in 2015. It is the second straight season the Eagles have won the one-meter competition after
Joanne Banaszak captured the title in 2025.
The Eagles had five of the top-eight finishers in the 200 I.M. Along with Rank's title,
Ava Pulvermacher placed second (2:09.12),
Ella Stadler fifth (2:13.32),
Makenzie Wallace sixth (2:13.63) and
Lily Rosenau eighth (2:14.38). Aly Wallander was 12th overall (2:17.91).
Five of the top-eight finishers in the 50 freestyle represented UWL with Wiskus first,
Libby Cleveland fourth (24.16),
Ellie Brown fifth (24.17),
Hannah Wadholm seventh (24.40) and
Paige Rundahl eighth (24.42).
UWL had six of the top seven finishers in the one-meter diving. Martini captured the title with
Abbey Thornton second (412.65),
Madison DeBernardo third (397.85),
Eden Mortensen fourth (393.65),
Natalie Peterson sixth (384.10) and
Emma Lieb seventh (383.85).

In the 500 freestyle Thursday, the Eagles'
Ava Newman placed seventh (5:15.65) and
McKenna Biegler eighth (5:19.02).
UWL's 400 medley relay of Cleveland, Rank, Pulvermacher and Wiskus placed second (3:52.20).
Action continues Friday, February 20 with preliminaries at 10 a.m. and finals at 6:30 p.m.
