La Crosse, Wis. - Members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track and field team competed at the DePaul University (Ill.) Blue Demon Alumni Classic and the UW-Whitewater Midwest Elite on Friday. 

THE BASICS

• Results: No team scores were compiled at either the DePaul University (Ill.) Blue Demon Alumni Classic (Results) and the UW-Whitewater Midwest Elite (Results).

THE RESULTS

    TRACK EVENTS 

• 800-meter run - Cael Schoemann broke his own UWL school record with a time of 1:49.51 to finish second overall at the Blue Demon Alumni Classic. His time is the fastest so far this season in National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III. 
• Mile run - Joey Sullivan just missed a school record (4:07.41) in the mile as he ran a personal best time of 4:07.47 to finish sixth at the Blue Demon Alumni Classic. Teammate Jayden Zywicki finished right behind Sullivan in seventh place (4:08.81) while Aiden Manning was ninth (4:09. 72). 
• 5000-meter run - The 5000-meter run was the only event ran on Friday at the UW-Whitewater Midwest Elite. Charles Vater was the only Eagle to finish in the top 10 individually as he ran a time of 14:28.78 to finish eighth overall.
