La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse wrestling team fell to 13-3 after a 21-12 loss to Augsburg University (Minn.) Saturday afternoon in Mitchell Hall in the Eagles' regular season home finale. The Auggies improve to 8-2.
UWL is ranked sixth and Augsburg (Minn.) third in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Top 25 Dual Poll.
UWL went 7-1 at home in duals this season.

The Auggies now lead the all-time series, 16-7-1, with the Eagles. Augsburg (Minn.) has won the last eight duals between the teams with UWL last earning a victory by the score of 20-14 on February 11, 2016.
The dual featured 14 ranked wrestlers by the NWCA, including five matches with both wrestlers ranked.
Augsburg (Minn.) took a 15-0 lead after four matches on Saturday. The Auggies' Keno Vanier opened with a major decision (10-2) over the Eagles'
Cole Gentsch at 125-pounds. Thirteenth-ranked Chance Suddeth followed with a major decision (13-5) over
Wyatt Magolski at 133 to make it 8-0.
In the first match featuring ranked wrestlers, Cole Becker, ranked 10th at 141-pounds for Augsburg (Minn.), earned a decision (2-0) over UWL's 12th-ranked
Talan Schutte. Third-ranked Matthew Randolph extended the Auggies' lead to 15-0 with a major decision (9-0) over
Aidan Baum at 149.
UWL won the next four duals to cut the deficit to 15-12.
Joe Penchi started the run with a win by decision (6-4) over sixth-ranked Karsen Otis at 157-pounds. The Eagles' third-ranked
Tanner Gerber won by decision (6-3) over second-ranked Cooper Willis at 165 to cut the lead to 15-6.

Noah Leisgang followed with a decision (4-0) over Nick Alexander at 174-pounds and third-ranked
Tate Flege won by decision (8-4) over fourth-ranked Brandt Bombard at 184 to make it 15-12.
Penchi and Leisgang, UWL's lone two seniors, were recognized prior to the start of Saturday's dual.

Tyler Dormanen at 197-pounds to give the Auggies a 18-12 advantage. Tyler Raway, ranked sixth at 285-pounds, secured the dual victory for Augsburg (Minn.) with a decision (8-2) over 10th-ranked
