Leisgang, Magolski and McIntyre Earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Honors

La Crosse, Wis. - Three members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse wrestling team have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® At-Large Team for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III, the organization announced Tuesday.

Graduate student Noah Leisgang of Ashwaubenon (H.S.) and sophomores Wyatt Magolski of New London (H.S.) and Marcus McIntyre of Brodhead (H.S.) earned Academic All-District® honors. It is Leisgang's second career Academic All-District® selection after earning the award in 2023.

Leisgang is pursuing a master's degree in physical education adventure/outdoor pursuit and sustains a 4.00 grade point average. He earned a bachelor's degree in elementary/middle education and maintained a 3.63 grade point average. The 2025-26 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Max Sparger Scholar-Athlete in wrestling, Leisgang is a three-time member of the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-America Team and a two-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. Finishing 19-2 this season at 174-pounds, Leisgang earned NCAA Division III All-America honors with a sixth-place finish. He won the NCAA Division III Region VIII Regional title and the WIAC crown.

It was his third career NCAA Division III All-America honor after finishing second in 2024 and third in 2023 at 165-pounds. He claimed NCAA Division III Upper Midwest Regional titles in 2023 and 2024. Leisgang is a three-time WIAC champion, winning the 174-pound crown this year after claiming the 165-pound title in 2023 and 2024. A team captain during the 2024 campaign, he finished with an 87-16 career record and helped UWL win conference titles from 2021-24. 

Leisgang has volunteered with DeSoto and La Crosse Boys and Girls Club, UWL Veterans Day Breakfast, Oktoberfest and as a wrestling official.

A sport management major with a 3.67 grade point average, Magolski went 25-15 at 133-pounds this season. He placed second at the WIAC Championships and fourth at the NCAA Division III Regional.

Magolski captured the 133-pound title at the Central College (Iowa) Invite and was third at the Cornell College (Iowa) Invite. He also finished fourth at the Wheaton College (Ill.) Pete Willson Invite.

He is a two-year member of the NWCA Scholar All-America Team and was on the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll last season. He is also on UWL's Dean's List. Magolski has volunteered at UWL sporting events and at the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) State Track & Field Championships.
 
McIntyre maintains a 3.53 grade point average while majoring in physical adapted school health education. He finished 27-10 at 141-pounds this season, including going 2-2 at the NCAA Division III Championships. McIntyre placed second at the NCAA Division III Region VIII Regional to qualify for the national championships. He finished third at the WIAC Championships.
 
He finished third at the Rochester Community & Technical College (RCTC) Yellowjacket Open and fourth at the Central (Iowa) and Cornell (Iowa) Invite. McIntyre also placed fifth at the Augsburg University (Minn.) Auggie Open.
 
McIntyre was on the 2025-26 NWCA Scholar All-America Team and to the 2024-25 WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. He is also a member of UWL's Dean's List.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
NCAA and NAIA Men's At-Large Academic All-America® First-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
