Collin Conzemius of
La Crosse (Aquinas), have been named to the 2024-25 Academic All-America® Cross Country/Track and Field Teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced Wednesday.
Grant Matthai is just the 13th men's cross country/track and field athlete to be named a First Team CSC Academic All-American while
Aidan Matthai was named to the the Second Team. Conzemius and Schoemann were named to the Third Team.

Grant Matthai
- This is the first CSC Acadmic All-America® honor for Grant Matthai.
- Matthai is majoring in statistics and holds a 4.00 grade point average.
- In cross country, Matthai was an NCAA All-American as he finished third individually and was a member of the Eagles national championship team.
- He also captured the WIAC Cross Country championship with a time of 23:34.5.
- Matthai continued his success into the indoor track and field season as he earned NCAA All-America honors in the 3000-meter run and the 5000-meter run. He won the 5000-meter national title while finishing fourth to help contribute to the Eagles winning the team national championship.
- At the NCAA III Outdoor championships, Matthai finished fourth individually in the 10000-meter run while he was ninth in the 5000-meter run. His performance at the outdoor championships helped the Eagles win the team national title.

- This is the first CSC Acadmic All-America® honor for Aidan Matthai.
- Matthai is majoring in statistics and has a 3.95 grade point average.
- He earned NCAA III All-America honors in cross country by finishing fifth overall and was a member of the Eagles national championship team.
- Other highlights from the cross country season included finishing fifth at the WIAC Championships and second at the NCAA III North Region Championships.
- He finished the indoor track and field season by picking up two NCAA All-America honors as he finished seventh in the 3000-meter run and fourth in the 5000-meter run. Scoring in both of these events helped the Eagles claim the NCAA III Indoor National Championship.
- Then during the outdoor track and field season, Matthai earned NCAA All-America honors in the 10000-meter run with his fifth place finish at the NCAA III Outdoor Championships. He also placed place 18th in the 5000-meter run.
Cael Schoemann
Cael Schoemann, Track and Field, CSC Third Team All-America®
- This is the second time Schoemann has earned CSC Academic America® honors as he was a Second Team selection as a sophomore.
- Schoeman is majoring in political science and carries a 3.50 grade point average.
- At the NCAA III Indoor Championships, Schoeman defended his national title in the 800-meter run for his second championship of his career.
- Then during the outdoor season, Schoemann earned his third straight NCAA All-America honor in the 800-meter run with his third place finish at the NCAA III Outdoor Championships.
- Schoemann also won both the WIAC Indoor and Outdoor Championship in the 800-meter run.
Collin Conzemius
Collin Conzemius, Track and Field, CSC Third Team All-America®
- This is the first time Conzemius has earned CSC Academic America® honors.
- Conzemius is majoring in marketing and has a 3.60 grade point average.
- During the indoor season, Conzemius won the WIAC Championship in the 400-meter run while finishing third at the NCAA III Indoor Championships.
- Conzemius also picked up an NCAA III All-America honor as a member of the 4x400-meter relay team which finished third at indoor nationals.
- At the NCAA III Outdoor Championships, Conzemius would once again pick up NCAA All-America honors in both the 400-meter run and the 4x400-meter relay. Conzemius finished second in both events.
The 2025 Academic All-America® Men's Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's track& field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Division III Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division III Academic All-America® program.
