Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD):

The treatment of ADHD often involves the use of prescription drugs such as Adderall and Ritalin.  Certain classes of drugs can harm student-athletes, an can create an unfair advantage in competition; therefore are prohibited by the NCAA.  August 2009 marked the beginning of the NCAA’s updated regulations on monitoring and documentation of ADHD in student-athletes to prevent danger/abuse of these drugs.  It is the athlete’s responsibility to submit all documentation in order to ensure eligibility.

If you are currently under care for ADHD please download and review the following document as the guidelines by the NCAA.
