HOW IT HAPPENED

Game One
  • Game two would enter the fourth inning with neither team scoring. Mac Born led off the fourth inning with a single and advanced to second when Jack Olver reached on a fielding error. After Born was forced out at third base when Andrew Rajkovich reached via a fielders choice, Anthony Vivian walked to load the bases. After a strikeout for the second out, Emiliano Ramos gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead with a single to right field which scored Olver.
  • George Seaman would give the Eagles a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning as he hit his team leading 13th home run of the season.
  • With one out in the sixth inning, Cam Dupont singled to left center and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Dupont would tag up and move to third on Ramos' fly out to right field. Dupont would then score when Chris VandenHeuvel reached on a throwing error. Nate Witte followed that up with a double down the fight field line while Seaman was intentionally walked to lead the bases. Born would then bring home both VandenHeuvel and Witte to extend UWL's lead to 5-0.
  • UW-Stevens Point would get two runs  in the top of the seventh inning to cut their deficit to 5-2. Tyler Soule would hit a one out double to right center and advance to third on a single by Anthony Tomczak. Soule then scored on a ground out by Connor Olson. Colton Martell then brought Tomczak in to score on a single up the middle. Kamden Oliver would walk to put runners on a first and second; however, a diving catch by Rajkovich in right field would end the Pointers rally.
  • Rajkovich led off the seventh inning with a walk and went to second when Vivian walked. Dupont would move Rajkovich and Vivian to second and third with a ground out. With two outs, VandenHeuvel singled up the middle to score Rajkovich and Eli Roberts who was pinch running for Vivian to make it 7-2.
