Jarrett and 400 Relay Set School Records at UWL Final Qualifier; Immer Competes at Augustana

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team competed at a pair of meets Wednesday night, including hosting the UWL Final Qualifier at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. The Eagles also competed at the Midwest Twilight Final Qualifier at Augustana College (Ill.).

No team scores were recorded.

The Eagles won seven events at the UWL Final Qualifier on Wednesday night, including sweeping the relays. The 4x100-meter relay of Julie Yang, Anika Reiland, Makenna Zak and Lauren Jarrett broke their own school record with a winning time of 45.66. The relay had set a school and Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship record with a time of 45.72 at this year's league championships. The time of 45.66 is also a conference record among all meets in league history.

Anna Plautz, Alli Thomas, Morgan Jennings and Macy Reybrock captured the 4x400-meter relay (3:44.57) Wednesday.

Individually, Jarrett won the 200-meter dash with a school record time of 23.56. She broke her own record of 23.69 set at the Long Beach State University (Calif.) Invitational on April 19. Jarrett's time of 23.56 is tied for third in NCAA Division III history.

Ryana Mathis took the 1,500-meter run (4:43.12) on Wednesday.

UWL won three titles in the field events with Macie Todd capturing the high jump (5-5 ½), Mackenzey Kronberg the triple jump (38-4 ¾) and Madison Habberstad the pole vault (12-7 ¼).

Other top-six finishers on the track, including four in the 100-meter hurdles Wednesday with Regan Scott second (14.67), Brie Eckerman third (14.86), Olivia Navin fourth (14.96) and Alexys Scheuerell sixth (15.30).

Andie Otto was fourth (1:02.23) and Gretchen McNeal sixth (1:04.12) in the 400-meter hurdles.

Along with being a member of the winning 4x100-meter relay Wednesday, Reiland placed second (12.08), Yang fourth (12.11) and Zak sixth (12.23) in the 100-meter dash.

The Eagles' Marissa Harvey was fourth (11-7 ¼) and Emily Shafron sixth (11-7 ¼) in the pole vault.

UWL had four of the top-six finishers in the long jump. Maya Evans placed second (19-0 ¾) with Jenna Miller third (18-8), Ashley Davies fifth (18-3) and Scott sixth (18-1 ¾). Evans was also third (37-9 ½) in the triple jump.

Madilyn Vander Sanden was second (43-5 ¾) in the shot put with Ella Puls fourth (130-1) in the javelin throw and Jadyn Roden fifth (138-0) in the discus throw.

UWL returns to action Thursday, May 22 at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships in Geneva, Ohio.
