La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse team earned a 19-2 victory over Southwestern University (Texas) Friday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. The Eagles improve to 9-5 overall and 5-3 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Pirates drop to 1-14 overall and 0-7 in the conference.
UWL is now 2-0 all-time versus Southwestern (Minn.) after a 15-5 victory last season.

The Eagles scored the game's first 14 goals on Friday. 
Megan Maloney started the scoring with 13:28 left in the first quarter to make it 1-0, followed by 
Angie Olla's goal with 12:14 remaining for a 2-0 lead. Maloney extended the lead to 3-0 with 9:55 left.
UWL scored seven more goals in the first quarter with Feeney tallying three and 
Ava Schiltz two while Maloney and 
Tori Katzenmeyer each scored one.
Maloney notched a pair of goals to start the second quarter to make it 12-0. 
Evie Brilz gave the Eagles a 13-0 halftime lead with a goal with :46 remaining in the quarter.
Anna Millard's goal with 14:38 left in the third quarter made it 14-0. Cecilia Cantu scored the first goal for Southwestern (Minn.) with 9:10 remaining. Katzenmeyer (7:05 left) and 
Katie Klicker (2:33) each scored in the quarter to make it 16-1.
UWL extended the lead to 17-1 on a 
Sofia Macias' goal with 13:09 remaining in the game. 
Joslyn Brotemarkle scored with 8:45 left for an 18-1 lead before Sydney Martin scored for the Pirates with 4:04 remaining. 
Jadyn Constine finished the scoring for UWL with :12 left.
UWL finished with 31 shots as four players scored at least two goals. Maloney totaled a game-high five goals and two assists while Feeney scored three times. Schiltz and Katzenmeyer each had two goals. Olla finished with 10 draw controls while three players had two ground balls.

Southwestern (Minn.) totaled 18 shots. Cantu had two draw controls with Hope Culberson finishing with a team-high three ground balls. London Flowers and Hannah Colvin each had two ground balls.
Emma Bethke suffered the loss, finishing with four saves while playing 30:00. Colvin registered three saves in 30:00. 
UWL returns to action Saturday, April 26 hosting Hamline University (Minn.) at 4 p.m. in its regular-season finale.
