Long Beach, Calif. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team completed action at the Long Beach State University (Calif.) Invitational Saturday night at Jack Rose Track. No team scores were recorded.
The Eagles'
Lauren Jarrett won the 200-meter dash with a school record time of 23.69, breaking her own record of 23.81 set last season. Jarrett's time ranks fifth in NCAA Division III history.
Jarrett was also second (11.55) in the 100-meter dash on Saturday after winning the event with an NCAA Division III record time of 11.23 on Friday at the Azusa Pacific University (Calif.) Bryan Clay Invitational.
UWL's
Anika Reiland was 21st (25.20) in the 200-meter dash and 32nd (12.48) in the 100-meter dash on Saturday at Long Beach State (Calif.) while
Makenna Zak finished 34th (12.60) in the 100-meter dash.
Alli Thomas placed 12th (2:15.69) in the 800-meter run on Saturday while
Macy Reybrock was 27th (57.83) in the 400-meter dash.
Anna Plautz, Thomas,
Morgan Jennings and Reybrock placed sixth (3:47.36) in the 4x400-meter relay while Zak, Reiland,
Julie Yang and Jarrett finished eighth (46.78) in the 4x100-meter relay.Â
UWL returns to action Wednesday, April 23 at the University of Minnesota Gary Wilson Invitational.
