Platteville, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team completed action at the UW-Platteville Invitational Saturday at the Pioneers Track and Field Complex. No team scores were recorded.
In Friday's action, UWL had three finishers in the top-nine in the hammer throw.
Madilyn Vander Sanden placed sixth (158-11) with
Jadyn Roden eighth (153-9) and
Ella Puls ninth (151-8).
Katelyn Chadwick finished 18th (17:29.13) and
Julia Zalewski 30th (17:43.53) in the 5,000-meter run Friday.
On Saturday, UWL won four individual events. The Eagles'
Brie Eckerman won the 100-meter hurdles (14.87),
Lauren Jarrett the 200-meter dash (24.38) and
Anna Plautz the 400-meter dash (56.42).
Madison Habberstad took the pole vault title (13-1 ¾). Habberstad set a school record in the pole vault, breaking the previous record of 13-1 ½ set by Angela Hilgers in 2003 and 2005.

Other top-six finishers on the track included the top-five in the 100-meter hurdles. Along with Eckerman's first-place finish,
Alexys Scheuerell was second (15.08),
Megan Zemke third (15.14),
Olivia Navin fourth (15.21) and Andie Ott fifth (15.42).
In the 400-meter dash,
Morgan Jennings placed third (58.09),
Sarah Grubbs fifth (58.40) and
Ashley Keleher sixth (58.56).
Macy Reybrock finished third (2:14.34) in the 800-meter run while
Makenna Zak was fifth (25.08) in the 200-meter dash and Maddie Hecker fifth (12.49) in the 100-meter dash.
Hanna Martensen placed fourth (4:54.55) in the 1,500-meter run with
Gretchen McNeal fourth (1:06.13) and
Morgan Schnelle sixth (1:06.85) in the 400-meter hurdles.
UWL's 4x100-meter relay of Zak,
Anika Reiland, Yang and Jarrett placed second (46.09).
In the field events, UWL had the top-six finishers in the pole vault. Along with Habberstad's first-place finish,
Araceli De Leo Lopez was second (12-10),
Amanda VanCalster third (12-0),
Jackie Bergeron fourth (12-0),
Gabby Patterson fifth (11-6 ¼) and
Marisa Harvey sixth (11-6 ¼).
Vander Sanden was second (44-4 ¾) in the shot put while
Gabby Johnson placed third (131-11) in the javelin throw.
Maya Evans placed second (18-6 ¾) in the long jump while
Jenna Miller was third (18-5 ¼) and
Ashley Davies tied for fifth (17-8 ½). UWL had four of the top-six finishers in the triple jump, including
Mackenzey Kronberg second (37-6 ¾), Evans third (37-3 ¾), Davies fifth (35-10) and
Josie Blum sixth (35-9 ¼).
UWL's
Izzy Bender was fifth (5-1) in the high jump.
