Men's Track and Field Competes at UW-Platteville and Bethel Unviersity

La Crosse, Wis. - Members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track and field team competed at the Bethel University (Minn.) and the UW-Platteville Invitational Friday and Saturday.

Up next: The Eagles will be back home on Thursday, April 17 and Friday, April 18 when they host the Phil Esten Challenge. UWL will also have members competing at the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific University (Calif.) April 16 and 17 along with individuals competing at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational hosted by Florida University April 18 and 19.

THE RESULTS
FIELD EVENTS

Discus - With a throw of 165-7, Anthony Staryszak finished second.
Long Jump - The Eagles had two of the top six jumpers in the long jump as Triton Schmidt (22-8 3/4) finished third and Gavin Sargeant (21-9 1/2) was sixth.
Triple Jump - William Cady was the top Eagle finisher in the triple jump with a mark of 47-7 1/4 to finish second while Christian Crumbaker (45-6 3/4) was fourth and Gabe Olsen (45-5) sixth.
High Jump -Nathan Andringa won the high jump with a mark of 6-6 3/4 and Mitchell Eldredge finished second (6-6 3/4).
Pole Vault - UWL took home the top four spots in the pole vault including Alexander Wagner winning the event with a mark of 16-1. Tying for second was teammates Andrew Tumminaro and Caleb Moore with a mark of 15-7. In fourth place was Gaven Lange (15-1).
Javelin - Nate Lawrence, with a throw of 178-11, finished second in in the javelin.

TRACK EVENTS

800-meter run - Owen Klaus finished fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:53.56.
100-meter dash - Sam Blaskowski won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.17 while Evan Maurud was fifth (10.88).
200-meter dash - UWL had three of the top five finishers in the 200-meter dash led by Luke Vance who finished second with a time of 22.13. In fourth place was Lyndon Hemmrich-Hartman while Maurud was fifth (22.23).
1500-meter run - With a time of 4:04.83 in the 1500-meter run Aidan Manning finished fifth.
400-meter run- At the Bethel University (Minn.) Invite, Collin Conzemius took second in the 400-meter run with a time of 46.97 while Chase Doornink was fourth (47.54).Andrew Hackbarth was sixth in the 400 with a time of 48.09 and Jacob Hohmann finished eighth (48.23).
400-meter hurdles - The Eagles had four of the top six finishers in the 400-meter hurdles at the Bethel University Spring Invite led by third place finish by Dirk Lueck (53.14). In fourth place was Finn Patenaude while Ayden Hart was fifth (53.77) and Zach Nyquist sixth (53.81).
