Madison, Wis. - Three members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team earned Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) honors, voted on by league coaches, announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office.
Senior
Lauryn Milne of
Lodi (H.S.) was named to the WIAC All-Conference First team while Senior
Kailee Meeker of
Waunakee (H.S.) was selected WIAC Honorable Mention All-Conference.
Junior
Ali Sprangers of
Kimberly (H.S.) has been named to the All-WIAC Sportsmanship Team. The WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team is chosen for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. It includes one member from each school.
Lauryn Milne, Senior, Guard
- This is the third WIAC honor for Milne as she earned Honorable Mention honors as a sophomore and First Team All-Confrence as a junior.
- Milne leads the Eagles and ranks fourth in the WIAC in scoring by averaging 15.4 points per game (ppg).
- Milne is seventh in the league in rebounding at 6.4 rebounds per game (rpg).
- So far this season, Milne has recorded six double-doubles (points and rebounds).
- Scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the Eagles upset win over then #5 ranked UW-Oshkosh.
- Milne became just the 18th player in school history to surpass the 1,000 point milestone and now has 1,183 points which ranks seventh on the schools all-time list.
- Currently is third on the team in assists (47) and steals (23).
Kailee Meeker, Senior, Guard
- This is the second time Meeker has earned All-Conference honors as she was an Honorable Mention selection as a junior as well.
- Meeker is third on the team in scoring (8.0 ppg) and fifth in rebounding (3.7rpg).
- Her 68 assists leads the Eagles and ranks fourth in the WIAC.
- Scored a season high 23 points and grabbed six rebounds in loss to UW-Platteville on January 8.
Ali Sprangers, Junior, Forward
- Sprangers started all 27 games this season for the Eagles while averaging 24.9 minutes per game.
- She is averaging 7.0 ppg and leads the Eagles with 37 made three-pointers.
- Sprangers is also third on the team in rebounding 4.7 rpg while leading UWL with 34 blocks which is tops the WIAC.
- Recorded a double-double (10 points and 11 rebounds) in Eagles win over Lakeland University (Wis.) (11/23/24) while scoring a season high 13 points on two different occasions (at Hope College (Mich.) 11/26/24 and at UW-Stevens Point 2/25/25).
