La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Women's Basketball team had four players earn academic honors on Tuesday. Senior

Lodi (HS), junior
Ali Sprangers of
Kimberly (HS) and sophomores
Grace Knupp of
Woodbury, Minn. (East Ridge HS) and
Katie Waukau of West De Pere (HS) have been named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced Tuesday.
It is Milne's second career Academic All-District® selection while it is the first for Sprangers, Knupp and Waukau.
Lauryn Milne
Lauryn Milne, Senior Guard
- MIlne is a biology major and psychology minor with a 3.95 grade point average.
- She has been a member of the UWL's Dean's List seven semesters.
- She is a three-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
- For the second time in her career, Milne was selected a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) First Team All-Conference honoree.
- Milne led the Eagles in scoring by averaging 15.5 points per game (ppg). and rebounding with 6.4 rebounds per game (rpg).
- A D3hoops.com All-Region 9 Third Team, Milne became just the 18th player in school history to surpass the 1,000 point milestone on January 18th against UW-Oshkosh. She finishes her UWL career with 1,215 points which ranks sixth all-time at UWL.
- She also finishes her career as one of only three Eagles to score more than 1200 point and grab more than 500 rebounds (539 rebounds).
Ali Sprangers
Ali Sprangers, Junior Forward
- Sprangers is a marketing major and digital media minor with a 4.00 grade point average.
- She has been a member of the UWL's Dean's List five semesters.
- She is a two-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
- Sprangers started all 29 games for the Eagles this season.
- Averaged 7.1 ppg and 4.6 rebounds per game.
- She led the WIAC in total blocks with 34.
- Named to the All-WIAC Sportsmanship Team. The WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team is chosen for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. It includes one member from each school.
Grace Knupp
Grace Knupp, Sophomore Guard
- Knupp is a marketing major and a digital media and design studies minor with a 3.80 grade point average.
- She has been a member of the UWL's Dean's List three semesters.
- She was a member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll after her freshman season.
- Knupp started all 29 games this season.
- Averaged 7.7 ppg and 3.4 rpg.
- She also finished with 56 assists and 39 steals this season.
Katie Waukau
Katie Waukau, Sophomore Guard
- Waukau is a public administration major and a political science minor with a 3.84 grade point average.
- She has been a member of the UWL's Dean's List three semesters.
- She was a member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll after her freshman season.
- She played in 28 of the 29 games this season.
- Averaged 3.8 ppg.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
