Rochester, N.Y. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team is tied for 13th-place after the first day of action at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships Friday night at the Golisano Training Center.

The Eagles have 6.0 points while Massachusetts Instutite of Technology leads with 29.0. Loras College (Iowa) is second with 18.0 with the University of Chicago (Ill.) third with 17.0 and UW-Oshkosh fourth with 15.0..

Araceli De Leo Lopez and
Madison Habberstad each earned NCAA III All-America honors in the pole vault on Friday with De Leo Lopez placing fourth (13-0 ¼) and Habberstad eighth (12-10 ¼).

The Eagles'
Maya Evans was 12th (18-3 ¼) in the long jump on Friday while
Alexys Scheuerell finished 12th (3,468 points) in the pentathlon.

UWL's
Madelynn McIntyre was 15th (17:21.02),
Brooklyn Luebke 17th (17:27.92) and Lucy Duchac 20th (17:43.0) in the 5,000-meter run.

In preliminary track action,
Lauren Jarrett and
Makenna Zak both advanced to Saturday's final in the 60-meter dash. Jarrett tied her own NCAA Division III record with a time of 7.29. Zak qualified with a time of 7.63.Â

McKenna Sedlacek failed to advance to Saturday's final (7.65).

Jarrett also recorded the fastest qualifying time in the 200-meter dash (24.14) on Friday to advance to Saturday's championship final.

Andie Otto,
Macy Reybrock and
Morgan Jennings advanced to Saturday's final with the second-fastest qualifying time (3:47.85) in Friday's preliminaries.

Gwen Hinz (2:14.97) and
Alli Thomas (2:16.57) failed to advance to Saturday's final in the 800-meter run.
