NCAA Division III Central Diving Championships Website
Granville, Ohio - Five members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's and men's swimming & diving team completed second day action at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Central Diving Championships Saturday afternoon in the Trumbull Aquatics Center at Denison University (Ohio).
In the women's three-meter competition, the Eagles'
Madeline Weber finished 13th (388.70 points) while
Joanne Banaszak was 14th (385.95 points),
Hannah Martini 15th (381.35) and
Madison DeBernardo 23rd (344.00). A total of 33 women competed in the three-meter.
On the men's side, UWL's
Tony McNiff placed 15th (375.95) of 17 divers in the one-meter competition.
Banaszak and Weber were making their third appearance in the NCAA Division III Diving Regional while it was the first trip for Martini and DeBernardo. Banaszak placed ninth (390.35) in 2024 and 17th (357.40) in 2023 while Weber finished 13th (374.00) in 2024 and 31st (322.10) in 2023 in the three-meter.
McNiff made his fourth career appearance in the NCAA Division III Diving Regional this year after placing 26th (335.65) in the one-meter in 2022, 27th (356.60) in 2023 and 15th (380.10).
The NCAA Division III Championships are scheduled for Wednesday, March 20 through Saturday, March 23 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.
