WIAC Championship Results
Stevens Point, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team captured its fifth straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship (presented by Culver's) Saturday night at UW-Stevens Point at the Skyward Fieldhouse.

The Eagles finished with 287.5 team points to win their 11th conference title in the last 12 seasons. UW-Eau Claire was second with 106.5 points. UW-Stout placed third (73.0) followed by UW-Oshkosh (66.0), UW-Whitewater (58.0), UW-Platteville (36.5), UW-River Falls (21.0) and UW-Stevens Point (14.5).

UWL has now captured a league record 31Â titles (1978-81, 1983, 1985-87, 1994, 1997, 2000-05, 2007-10, 2013-18, 2020, 2022-25) in school history.

It is the sixth (2018, 2020, 2022-25) championship under head coachÂ
Nickolas Davis.

The Eagles won five individuals and one relay crown on Saturday. UWL'sÂ
Lauren Jarrett won her second straight WIAC 60-meter dash title (7.43) and also captured the 200-meter dash title (24.34) Saturday.
UWL's
Alli Thomas won the 800-meter run crown (2:14.97) on Saturday with
Madelynn McIntyre taking the 3,000-meter run (9:58.00).

In the field events,
Samantha Barrett won the triple jump title (39-6 3/4) for the second consecutive year. It is the fourth straight triple jump crown for the Eagles afterÂ
Miah Keller won in 2022 and
Hailie Kent in 2023.Â

UWL captured the 4x400-meter relay on Saturday with
Anna Plautz,Â
Morgan Jennings,Â
Macy Reybrock and
Andie Otto (3:49.31). It marks the sixth straight league crown in the 4x400-meter relay for the Eagles. Jennings has been a member of the last three winning relays while Plautz won her second straight relay title.

In Saturday's pentathlon, UWL recorded three of the top-eight finishers.Â
Alexys Scheuerell was third (3,482 points),Â
Amber Grosse sixth (3,360) andÂ
Audrey Braun eighth (3,202). The pentathlon includes the 60-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800-meter run.
In other top-eight finishers on the track Saturday, the Eagles'
Anika Reiland was third (25.33) andÂ
Makenna Zak fourth (25.44) in the 200-meter dash. In the 60-meter hurdles, Olivia Navin finished second (8.96),
Megan Zemke fourth (9.00),
Brie Eckerman sixth (9.06) and
Andie Otto seventh (9.16).

Along with Jarrett's first-place finish in the 60-meter dash,
Makenna Zak placed second (7.64), Julie Yang third (7.67),
McKenna Sedlacek fifth (7.70) and
Anika Reiland seventh (7.75).
Gwen Hinz placed third (2:15.43) in the 800-meter run.

The Eagles had six of the top-eight spots in the 3,000-meter run, including McIntyre's title. Lucy Duchac was second (9:59.14),
Brooklyn Luebke fourth (10:08.64),
Mallory Reiser fifth (10:15.29),
Becca Immer seventh (10:22.92) and
Elizabeth Schwartz eighth (10:25.12).

In other top-eight finishers in the field events, the Eagles'
Ella Puls finished eighth (53-8) the weight throw.

Along with Barrett's title in the triple jump,
Maya Evans was second (38-1 1/2),
Mackenzey Kronberg fourth (37-2 1/4),
Ashley Davies fifth (36-11),
Emily Blaskowski sixth (36-5 3/4) and
Josie Blum seventh (36-3 1/2).
