Sam Blaskowski of
Oshkosh (West) placed 14th in the 60-meter dash preliminaries with a time of 6.68 on Sunday afternoon at the USA Track & Field (USATF) Championships at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

A total of 20 sprinters competed in the preliminaries with the top-eight advancing to the finals.Â
Blaskowski's time of 6.68 ranks sixth in NCAA Division III history. He owns the record of 6.62 set at the UWL
Mark Guthrie Legacy Invitational on February 8. Blaskowski has eight of the top-10 times in NCAA Division III history including the top six fastest times.
Blaskowski was making his third career appearance in the USATF Indoor Championships after competing in 2023 and 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was fifth in the 60-meter dash (6.67) final in 2023 and placed 10th (6.65) in the preliminaries in 2024.

Selected the 2024 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Indoor Track Athlete of the Year, Blaskowski won the 60 and 200-meter dash at the 2024 NCAA Division III Championships. He was also named the NCAA Division III Most Outstanding Performer.

Blaskowski also captured the 60-meter dash and finished second in the 200-meter dash at the 2023 national championships and earned three All-America accolades at the 2022 NCAA Division III Championships after placing sixth in the 60-meter dash, seventh in the 200-meter dash and seventh in the long jump.
