Lauren Jarrett of
La Crosse (Logan) set an National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III record with a sixth-place finish in the 60-meter dash at the USA Track & Field (USATF) Indoor Championships Sunday at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Jarrett ran 7.29 to break her own NCAA Division III record of 7.34 set at the UW-La Crosse Mark Guthrie Invitational on February 8 in Hetzel Fieldhouse. She placed sixth out of eight runners in Sunday's final.

Jarrett was making her first career appearance in the USTAF Indoor Championships.
She now has seven of the top-10 times in the 60-meter dash in NCAA Division III history, including the top-four.
Jarrett won the 60-meter dash at the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships while placing sixth in the 200-meter dash to earn All-America honors. She also finished sixth in the 200-meter dash in 2023. Named the 2024 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Indoor Track Performer of the Meet, Jarrett won the 60-meter dash and finished second in the 200-meter dash at the league championships.
Jarrett is a three-time U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Indoor Athlete of the Week selection.
