UW-Whitewater Midwest Invitational Results
Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track and field team completed action at a pair of meets on Saturday. The Eagles placed second at the UW-Whitewater Midwest Invitational and competed at the University of Arkansas Tyson Invitational.
Washington University-St. Louis (Mo.) won the team title at UW-Whitewater with 175.5 points with UWL second with 152.0 and UW-Whitewater third with 80.5 points. A total of 10 teams competed.
The Eagles'
Gwen Hinz finished 51st (5:14.35) in the mile run at the Tyson Invitational.
Araceli De Leo Lopez
At the UW-Whitewater Invitational,
Madelynn McIntyre captured the 5,000-meter run (17:11.01) with
Brooklyn Luebke second (17:11.11).
Regan Scott won the 60-meter hurdles title (8.87) and
Anika Reiland took home the 200-meter dash(25.32).
The Eagles' 4x400-meter relay of
Anna Plautz,
Macy Reybrock,
Alli Thomas and
Morgan Jennings took first (3:51.09).
Other top-six finishers on the track included Thomas third (58.81) and
Ashley Keleher fourth (59.17) in the 400-meter dash while
Anika Reiland was third (7.69) and
Makenna Zak fourth (7.75) in the 60-meter dash.
Lily Higgins was fourth (5:07.80) and
Becca Immer fifth (5:08.01) in the mile run while
Alexys Scheuerell placed fifth (9.26) and
Audrey Braun sixth (9.50) in the 60-meter hurdles.
McKenna Sedlacek was fifth (25.74) in the 200-meter dash.
Top-six finishers in the field events included
Samantha Barrett second (38-10 1/2), Mackenzie Kronberg fifth (37-5 ¼) and
Maya Evans sixth (37-1) in the triple jump while
Araceli De Leo Lopez was third (12-5 ½), Maddy Habberstad fourth (12-3 ½) and
Amanda VanCalster sixth (11-3 ¾) in the pole vault.
Rachel Halverson tied for fourth (18-1 ¾) in the long jump with
Addy Moseler fourth (42-2) in the shot put and Scheuerell fifth (5-3) in the high jump.
UWL returns to action Friday, February 21 hosting the UWL Caged Eagle Invitational at 3 p.m.
