La Crosse, Wis. - Six members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse football team have been named to the 2025 D3football.com All-Region 6 Team, the organization announced Wednesday.

Michael Stack of
Oshkosh (West) were voted to the D3football.com First Team Offense with junior corner back
Trent Mullen of
Appleton (North) named to the First Team Defense.
Senior running back
Gabe Lynch of
Indian Creek, Ill. (Carmel Catholic) and junior wide receiver
Jack Janke of
Ellsworth (H.S.) were selected to the D3football.com Second Team Offense while senior defensive end
Christian Powell of
Milwaukee (University School) was named to the Second Team Defense.
Dain Walter did not allow
a sack this year.
It is the second career all-region honor for Stack, Mullen and Lynch. Stack was a 2023 first team selection while Mullen earned 2024 first team accolades and Lynch garnered 2024 second team honors. Walter, Janke and Powell earned their first career all-region awards.
All six players were named to the 2025 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) First Team.
Walter, voted to the 2025 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-America First Team on Wednesday, started all 11 games this season at left tackle while not allowing a quarterback sack.
He helped UWL average 29.5 points per game in 2025. The Eagles averaged 386.1 yards per game, including 136.5 rushing and 249.6 passing.
Michael Stack was the 2025
WIAC Special Teams Player of the Year.
The Eagles are second in the WIAC in fourth-down conversions (60.0%), third in total offense (386.1), passing yards (249.6), first downs (230) and third-down conversions (46.7%) and fourth in scoring (29.5).
Named the 2025 WIAC Special Teams Player of the Year, Stack finished 38-of-39 In extra-points and nine-of-13 in field goal attempts. He converted a season-high 47-yard field in UWL's victory over UW-Stout on November 1. Stack had the game-winning 36-yard field goal in the Eagles' overtime victory at UW-Whitewater.
He finished 134-of-135 in career extra points and ranks second in UWL history in extra points made and attempted. Stack finished tied for third in school history with 29 career field goals made.
Trent Mullen recorded
three interceptions.
Stack, a finalist for the 2023 Fred Mitchell Award and 2025 semifinalist given to the nation's top collegiate placekicker, was also selected the 2023 WIAC Special Teams Player of the Year. He is the first player in league history to be named the WIAC Special Teams Player of the Year twice. Stack was voted the WIAC Special Teams Player of the Week three times this season. He currently ranks seventh in the conference in overall scoring and third in kick scoring (65 points). Stack's nine field goals are third.
Mullen started all 11 games at corner back in 2025, finishing tied for the team lead with three interceptions. The three interceptions are tied for seventh in the WIAC. He led UWL in pass break-ups (5) while finishing 10th in overall tackles (27).
He recorded interceptions against Carnegie Mellon University (Pa.), UW-Whitewater and UW-Stout this season. Mullen has eight career interceptions.
Leading UWL in rushing attempts (133), yards (678) and touchdowns (7) in 2025, Lynch averaged 5.1 yards per attempt. He had a season-high 165 yards and two touchdowns versus UW-Eau Claire and totaled 136 yards and one touchdown against UW-Stevens Point. He ranks fifth in the WIAC in rushing yards this season and tied for sixth in touchdowns.

Lynch finished with seven career games rushing for at least 100 yards and ranks eighth in school history with 2,507 yards. He is ninth in career rushing touchdowns with 21.
Janke led UWL in receptions (77), yards (1,009) and touchdowns (10) this season. He became the seventh player in school history to record 1,000 yards receiving in a year. Janke's 77 catches this year are tied for fourth in single-season school history while his 10 touchdowns are tied for eighth.

He leads the WIAC in receptions and yards while ranking second in touchdown catches. Janke had four games this season with at least 100 yards receiving, including a career-high 18 yards with one touchdown versus UW-Oshkosh. He had a career-high 13 catches in the game, tied for 10th-most in single-game school history. Janke had at least four receptions in all 11 games this year.
Starting all 11 games at defensive end, Powell led UWL in tackles for loss (9.0), fumble recoveries (3) and quarterback hurries (7) this season. He recorded 2.5 quarterback sacks, ranking second on the team. Powell finished with 38 tackles overall, fifth for the Eagles.
Powell had a season-high seven tackles, including 2.0 for loss, at UW-River Falls. He recorded 2.0 quarterback sacks and six tackles versus UW-Stout and finished with 2.5 tackles for loss at Hope College (Mich.).
He is tied for second in the WIAC in fumble recoveries and tied for sixth in tackles for loss this season.
The all-region teams, selected in balloting by sports information directors in each region and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 1,062 nominations by full Division III member schools. A total of 80 players were chosen to the Region 6 First, Second and Third Teams.
Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced Monday, December 22, 2025.
Christian Powell led UWL
in tackles for loss this year.
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III realigned Division III football into six regions in 2021. Region 6 includes the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Northwest Conference, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference and the WIAC.
UWL finished 8-3 overall and 5-2 in the WIAC in 2025 under head coach
Matt Janus. The Eagles, making their fifth consecutive national championship berth, advanced to the NCAA Division III Third Round. After receiving a first round bye, UWL earned a 9-7 victory at 15th-ranked Hope College (Mich.) on November 29 before falling, 35-27, at top-ranked North Central College (Ill.) in the third round on December 6.
UWL was ranked 13th on the final D3football.com Top 25 Poll of the regular season.
