Decorah, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's cross country team earned a dual win at Luther College (Iowa) Friday night.
The Eagles, ranked sixth in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III, finished with 15 team points while the Norse totaled 50.
UWL had the top-12 finishers on Friday, including
Lauren Wegand winning the individual title with a time of 18:41.7 on the 5,000-meter course.
Taylor Bussiere was second (18:47.5) with
Sami Miller third (18:52.8),
Ella Pahl fourth (19:00.1) and
Olivia Heilman fifth (19:00.6).
The Eagles'
Eileen Zopel placed sixth (19:02.9) followed by
Nora Jillson (19:08.3),
Ashley Wilson (19:08.5),
Joelle Duty (19:13.4) and
Meredith Gilles (19:22.6) to round out the top-10.
Sydney Dee was 11
th (19:26.7) and
Ella Woodworth 12
th (19:29.0).

UWL returns action Saturday, November 1 at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships at 1 p.m. at Moore's Field of Dreams in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
