Platteville, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team captured its 12th straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships (presented by Culver's) Saturday night at UW-Platteville Track & Field Complex.

The Eagles finished with 316.50 points to capture their 38th championship (1972-73, 1977-87, 1992-93, 1998-2003, 2005, 2007-10, 2012-19, 2021-2024) in school history.  UW-Eau Claire was second with 169.75 points with UW-Oshkosh third with 96.00. UW-Stout finished fourth (80.75) followed by UW-Whitewater (74.00), UW-Platteville (34.00), UW-Stevens Point (26.00) and UW-River Falls (22.00).Â
Lauren Jarrett won the 100Â
and 200-meter dash titles.
It is the sixth (2018-19, 2021-24) outdoor crown under UWL head coach
Nickolas Davis.Â

Amber Grosse won the heptathlon.
UWL won five individual titles on Saturday while sweeping both relays. The Eagles'
Amber Grosse captured the heptathlon on Saturday, finishing with 4,692 points. She is the first athlete to win the title for UWL since
Jena Weigel in 2013.

Lauren Jarrett won a pair of crowns on Saturday, sweeping the 100 (11.44) and 200 (24.33) meter dash. She broke her own school record of 11.54 in the 100-meter dash set in Friday's preliminaries. Jarrett also broke the WIAC record of 11.54 set by herself and Tina Shelton of UW-Whitewater. Jarrett is the first sprinter for the Eagles to win the 100-meter dash since
Savannah Rygiewicz in 2021 and the 200-meter dash since
Emily Dawidowich, also coming in 2021.

UWL's
Maddie Hannan took the 800-meter run (2:12.68) on Saturday, becoming the first UWL runner to capture the crown since
Rachel Atchison in 2018.

The Eagles'
Samantha Barrett won the triple jump (40-5) on Saturday, her second league title in school history (2022). It is UWL's third straight title in the triple jump with
Miah Keller winning last season.Â

UWL swept the relays Saturday as
Makenna Zak,
Anika Reiland,
Taylor Molling and Jarrett won the 4x100-meter relay (47.09) and
Anna Plautz,
Morgan Jennings, Hannan and
Amber Johnson the 4x400-meter relay (3:51.79). It is UWL's third straight conference crown in the 4x100 and fourth consecutive in the 4x400. Jarrett was on the winning 4x100-meter relay in 2023. It is Johnson's fourth straight year as a member of UWL's winning 4x400-meter relay while Jennings earned her second consecutive title in the 4x400.

Along with Grosse taking first in the heptathlon,
Alexys Scheuerell was fifth (4,511 points),
Noelle Hackenmueller seventh (4,315) and
Audrey Braun ninth (4,150). The heptathlon concluded Saturday with the long jump, javelin throw and 800-meter run.

Other top-eight finishes on the track for UWL included Zak placing second (11.87), Reiland fourth (12.12) and Molling eighth (12.16) in the 100-meter dash while Reiland finished third (25.02), Zak fourth (25.04) and Molling seventh (25.24) in the 200-meter dash.

Gwen Hinz was fifth (2:16.12) and
Greta Koehler sixth (2:16.30) in the 800-meter run. Koehler was also second (4:40.01) in the 1,500-meter run as
Sierra Rabe placed third (4:40.97), Hinz fourth (4:41.53) and
Lily Higgins fifth (4:43.62).Â

UWL's Madelyn McIntyre finished third (17:54.07) and
Brooklyn Luebke sixth (17:59.08) in the 5,000-meter run.

In the 400-meter dash, the Eagles had five of the top-seven finishers with Jennings second (57.25), Johnson third (58.01), Plautz fifth (58.40),
Sarah Grubbs sixth (58.55) and Maddie Hecker seventh (58.60).

Hannah Holm finished second (14.20) and
Brie Eckerman fifth (14.66) in the 100-meter hurdles while
Gretchen McNeal placed second (1:04.23) and
Ava Sullivan fifth (1:05.00) in the 400-meter hurdles.

Along with Barrett's crown in the triple jump, UWL took the top-five finishes.
Maya Evans placed second (39-1 ¾), Keller third (38-11 ¾),
Mackenzey Kronberg fourth (37-6 1/) and
Carly Schreurs fifth (36-11).

Other top-eight finishes in the field events included
Ainsley Hansen second (5-4 ½) and
Macie Todd tied for fourth (5-2 ½) in the high jump with
Izzy Carroll placing third (43-2 ½) and
Madilyn Vander Sanden seventh (41-11 ½) in the shot put.
The top finisher in each event receives all-conference first team recognition, while the runner-up secures second team accolades and the third-place performer claims honorable mention recognition. Medals will be awarded to the top-eight finishers in each of the individual events and the runners comprising the top-six relay teams.
