Myrtle Beach, SC. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track and field team is tied for third after the second day of action at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Outdoor Championships Friday at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. 

2024 NCAA III OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP BASICS

• Team Results - UWL is tied for third place with 20 points. Leading the Championships is UW-Oshkosh with 30 points while UW-Eau Claire is in second with 26 points . Wartburg (Iowa) and Massachusetts Insitute of Technology is tied with UW-La Crosse with 20 points.
• Location - Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium, Myrtle Beach, SC. (hosted by  Coastal Carolina University along with the Myrtle Beach Regional Sports Alliance)
• UWL at NCAA III Championships - UWL has won an NCAA Division III record 15 Outdoor Championships. The Eagles finished second last year with a score of 49 points. 
• Up Next: Day three of the Championships gets underway at 12 p.m. Saturday.

    Field Events

• Shot Put (Final) -  Ben Youngworth picked up his first NCAA All-America Outdoor honor as he finished fourth in the shot put with a mark of 56-2 3/4.

    Track Events

• 100-meter dash (Prelims) - Sam Blaskowski had the top qualifying time in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.19.
• 800-meter run (Prelims) - Cael Schoemann qualified for Saturday's final in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:51.45.
• 3000-meter steeplechase (Final) - The Eagles had three runners score and earn NCAA All-America honors in the 3000-meter steeplechase led by a third place finish by Adam Loenser (8:56.40). Finishing fifth was Joey Sullivan (9:02.00) while Mason Brown was eighth (9:07.65).
