La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Men's Track and Field team hosted the Ashton May Invitational Saturday afternoon and won eight individual events and a relay..

THE BASICS

Results: The Eagles finished in first place with 229 points while St. Thomas University (MN) finished second with 103 points. In third place was UW-Eau Claire with 83 points while UW-Oshkosh (81 points) was fourth, UW-Stout (40 points) fifth and Winona State University (MN) (8 points) sixth.

Up next: The Eagles will compete in four different meets with members competing at the UW-Platteville Invitational April 12, at the Azusa Pacific University (CA) Invitatioanl, the Long Beach State University (CA) Invitational and the University of La Verne (CA) Leopard Distance meet.

FIELD EVENTS

Pole Vault - Andrew Tumminaro and Ashton Moody finished first and second respectively in the pole vault. Tumminaro and Moody each cleared 15-6 1/2.
High Jump - Nathan Andringa won the high jump with a jump of 6-8 3/4.
Long Jump - The Eagles had two of the five top finishers in the long jump with Andrew Hermes (23-6 3/4) finishing second and Sebastian Jefferson (23-4) third.
Triple Jump - UWL took home the top five spot in the triple jump with William Cady (48-0 1/2) finishing first. Nick Crary (47-1 1/2) was second, Carter Pearson (45-4 1/2) third, Brody Kluge (45-2 1/4) fourth and Gabe Olsen (43-10 3/4) fifth.
Shot Put - Ben Youngworth was the top finisher in the shot put as he was third with a mark of 53-9.
Hammer Throw - Two of the top four finishers in the hammer throw were from UWL with Douglas Grace (185-0) finishing second and Logan Powers (172-10) was fourth.

TRACK EVENTS

1500 meter run - UWL had four of the top five finishers in the 1500 meter run with Jayden Zywicki (3:49.23) wining the race. In second place was Michael Madoch (3:51.90) while Cael Schoemann (3:53.28) was third and Aidan Manning (3:54.19) fifth.
110 meter hurdles - Lukas Johnson finished third with a time of 15.16 in the 110 meter hurdles while Chad Thompson Jr. (15.27) was fourth.
100 meter dash - Sam Blaskowski won the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.36 while Paul Lough (10.91) finished fourth.
400 meter run - The Eagles dominated the 400 meter run with six of the seven top finishers. Collin Conzemius led the way in first place with a time of 47.20 while Chase Doornink (47.41) was second and Addison Hill (48.00) third. In fourth place was Caden Pearce (48.03) while Jacob Hohmann(48.24) was fifth and Andrew Hackbarth (48.52) seventh.
800 meter run - After a second place finish in the 1500 meter run, Madoch won the 800 meter run with a time of 1:54.89.
200 meter run - Ethan Turbeville was the Eagles top finisher in the 200 meter run with a fourth place finish in a time of 21.95.
3000 meter steeplechase - The top two finishers in the 3000 meter steeplechase was Mason Brown (9:15.70) in first place and Luke Chaffin (9:17.93) in second place.
4x 400 meter relay - The relay team of Tyler Backes, Payton Flood, Hackbarth and Dirk Lueck finished first in the 4x400 relay in a time of 3:15.03.
