Men's Track and Field Competes at UW-Eau Claire Invite; Win Seven Events

Eau Claire, Wis. - Members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track and field team competed at the Dick and Mary Johnson Invite hosted by UW-Eau Claire Saturday afternoon. 

THE BASICS
  • UW-Eau Claire Dick and Mary Johnson Invite Results; No team scores were kept.
  • Location: Simpson Field, Eau Claire, Wis. 
  • Up next: The Eagles will travel to Platteville, Wis. for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championshiops (WIAC) Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4. 
THE RESULTS
   
FIELD EVENTS
  • High Jump - Nathan Andringa won the high jump with top mark (6-09) so far this season in the WIAC. 
  • Pole Vault - Ashton Moody (15-07) finished third in the pole vault and Gaven Lange was (15-01) fifth. 
  • Long Jump - UWL had six of the top eight finishers in the long jump with Sebastian Jeggerson leading the way with a top mark of 23-7 1/4. Andrew Hermes (23-00 1/2) was second, Triton Schmidt (22-06 1/2) third, Terrance Cottrell Roberson fifth (21-10 1/4), Carter Pearson (21-5 1/4) sixth and Brody Kloge (20-07) eighth.
  • Triple Jump - After an eighth place finish in the long jump, Kloge won the triple jump with a mark of 45-5. Gabe Olsen finished second second with a jump of 44-3 1/2. 
  • Shot Put - Ethan Welch was fourth in the shot put with a throw of 47-11 3/4). 
  • Hammer Throw - Logan Powers (183-11), Douglas Grace (182-03) and Aiden Williams (181-0) finished first, second and third respectively in the hammer throw. 

   TRACK EVENTS 
  • 100-meter dash - Spencer Reichart (10.97) and Luke Vance (11.03) finished first and second respectively, in the 100-meter dash. 
  • 200-meter dash - UWL took home the top four spots in the 200-meter dash with Luke Schroeder winning the event with a time of 21.19. Paul Lough (21.86) finished second while Reichart (21.94) finished third and Vance (22.03) fourth. 
  • 110-meter hurdles - Like the 200, the Eagles had the top four finishers in the 110-meter hurdles with Lukas Johnson finishing first with a time of 15.02. Right behind Johnson was teammate Chad Thompson Jr., (15.05) in second place while Ayden Hart (15.41) was third and Emanuel Kutzera (15.60) fourth.
  • 4x100-meter relay - The relay team of Lough, Sam Blaskowski, Collin Consemius and Schroeder won the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 40.14. The time of 40.14 is the fastest time in the NCAA III so far this season and the second fastest time in school history.
