Both Blaskowki and Schroeder broke their own school records this past Saturday at the
Mark Guthrie Legacy Invitational at UW-La Crosse.Â
Blaskowski first tied the record of 6.65 in the prelims and then broke it with a time of 6.64. The mark was not only a school record but also a NCAA Division III record. Blaskowski now holds the seven fastest times in NCAA Divion III history. Up next for Blaskowski will be the USATF Indoor Championships Feb. 16 and 17 in Albuquerque, N.M. Last year, Blaskowski finished fifth at the Championships with a then NCAA III record 6.67.

Not to be outdone, Schroeder posted the second fastest mark in NCAA III history in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.80. The mark broke his own record of 7.92 which he set on January 20th at the Pat Healy Classic hosted by UWL. Schroeder was not done there though as he also finished first in the 200-meters with a time of 21.54. Schroeder's time is the fastest of the season in NCAA III so far. Up next for Schroeder will be a meet at Minnesota State Mankato this Friday, February 9. This meet is a USA sanctioned event so Schroeder will be trying to qualify for the USATF Indoor Championships. He will need to run a sub-7.90 to qualify for the championships.Â
According to the USTFCCCA website, this is the first time in award history that two individual athletes from the same program shared Athletic National Athlete of the Week honors during the indoor season.
