Sam Blaskowski of
Oshkosh (West) placed 10th in the 60-meter dash preliminaries with a time of 6.65 on Saturday afternoon at the USA Track & Field (USATF) Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
A total of 17 sprinters competed in the preliminaries with the top-eight advancing to the finals.Â

Blaskowski's time of 6.65 ranks second in NCAA Division III history. He owns the record of 6.64 set at the UWL
Mark Guthrie Legacy Invitational on February 3. Blaskowski has eight of the top-nine times in NCAA Division III history.Â
He was making his second straight appearance in the 60-meter dash at the USATF Championships. Blaskowski placed fifth last year with a then NCAA Division III record time of 6.67. He was fifth out o the seven sprinters in the final.Â

At the 2023 NCAA III Indoor Championships, Blaskowski became the second sprinter in school history to win the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.71. He joins Alex Koenen (2016) to win the 60-meter dash. Blaskowski also finished second at the 2023 NCAA III Championships in the 200-meter dash.Â
